Rinku Singh has become the first ever player to hit 5 sixes of 5 balls in the 20th over against Gujarat Titans in IPL season 2023. This means he became the highest scorer (30 runs) of the last over in IPL followed by Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni who scored 22 runs each earlier in IPL.

Rinku Singh was born on 12th October, 1997 in Aligarh, Uttar Paradesh. He is the third of the five siblings. His father is into a job of delivering LPG cylinders. Since Rinku wanted to take responsibility of the whole family, he focussed on cricket and has risen to a new level.

Domestic Cricket Career
In 2014, Rinku Singh made his debut in List A Cricket for Uttar Pradesh while he was just 16 years old. Later he made a debut in First -class cricket for Uttar Pradesh only in 2016.
Selection in IPL
Good fortune shone on Rinku when for the first time, he got selected by an IPL team in 2017. He was bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 10 lakh. Afterwards he was bought by KKR in 2018 for Rs. 80 lakh, he was sold to Kolkata Knight riders for Rs 80 lakh. Although in IPL 2023 auction, he was bought by KKR only but at a lesser price than previous seasons i.e. Rs. 55 lakh.
Banned by BCCI
In 2019, Rinku Singh was suspended by BCCI as he had played in a foreign cricket league. He didn’t know that BCCI didn’t allow its players to player for any foreign league. For this, he was punished with a three month ban.

The total networth of Rinku Singh is approximately 6 crore. His annual salary as per the IPL auction 2023 is 55 lakh. For the past four years, he has continuously been picked up by KKR though at a much lesser price compared to his first time selection in 2018.
